EMCIS Program Committee meets in Ljubljana (Published on: 30.04.2002) The Program Committee of the European Ministerial Conference on Information Society - Connecting Europe has met today in Ljubljana to discuss several programme topics of forthcoming conference. The meeting was chaired by conference co-chairs Paul Verhoef, the head of the EC's department of international cooperation and legal matters and dr. Jozsef Gyorkos, the State secretary at Ministry of Information Society. The program committee discussed the following topics: conference programme and allocations of ministers of the candidate countries and memebr states (new release to be published on Monday May 6); approval of overall conference layout proposal; approval of overall conference exhibition layout proposal; approval of press and media strategy.
